Directions
Visit the main myFICO Forums page, register, make sure you’re logged in, and then go back to the main page and click on the link “Get your Free FICO score now!” in the top right. For some reason, you’ll have to re-enter all your info again.

My score was 744, down 10 points from their last free FICO offer. I blame the issuers who closed my inactive credit cards! 😛

Didn’t work for me. I created a forum account, logged in, and clicked the link. But got this message:

“Sorry, you don’t qualify for the free FICO® score promotion.”

  2. Is this a temporary score (for a month or so) or a permanent account where you’ll be able to see your score, or a one time deal?

I am not necessarily keen in knowing the score now.

  3. 771 down from 783 for the same free one you linked above.

I obtained two credit cards since then (for about $300 easy money), so that’s not too bad. I have no plans to buy a house or car any time soon, so it’s really just interesting out of curiosity.

    778…down from 820 a 2 1/2 years ago…

Thank you Chase for closing my account…Hopefully this will be good enough to refi though.

  5. I created a screen name and then was directed to the forum with that link Jonathan mentioned.

  6. Registered, and ….. nothing. Saw no link, only the Free Trial. Must have reached the 10,000 limit.

  7. Hooray! It worked – thank you for pointing us in this direction, Jonathan. Yeah, it was a pain to enter all of the account information twice but, as my Dad would say in his thick New Jersey accent, “whaddya expect for free?” I got the free score for my wife and I. I’m 777 and she’s 769. Not too shabby. Maybe a lender will actually look at us as “worthy” in this crappy economy?

My wife’s report said that she’s “made heavy use of your available revolving credit” which is odd since she rarely uses her credit cards. Ah well, who knows.

Thanks again for your terrific site, Jonathan!

  8. Didn’t get it either. Only a link to the Free Trial also.

  9. Thanks! Got mine as well. 792. I am a little disappointed it doesn’t go over 800 🙁

  10. I was unable to get my FICO score as I recently received a free FICO score through a facebook promotion. Apparently freeficoscore.com only allows one free score per 12 months even if it is through different promotions. Thanks for the heads up anyways.

  11. Thanks for the tip, there is indeed a reason for account info twice. On public forum, you dont want to register your original names and DOBs. So people usually use a different name, but when you request your score you need your original details. So it only makes sense that they do it twice. My score is not as good as any of yours. Early 700s i should say 🙂

Got mine@ Thanks for the info!

  13. Dang it! My wife caught up to me. Both have identical 806 scores. Thanks for the heads up on this.

  14. Damn, I just missed it. They’re all gone.

  15. Looks like they used up the free scores. An announcement on the site says: “Thanks to all of you who helped make the Free FICO Score offer a resounding success! Sorry, but there are no more free scores available.”

  16. didn’t get it – now how do I ‘unsign’ up to the forums. I have no interest in the Forums.

Minwe dropped 50 points from Nov. Opened two CC’s and closed one that had a high limit. It hink my credit util ratio skyrocketed as a result, combined with the closing/opening. Not pretty. Hopefully it corrects by summer.

And as long as I’m hoping…I hope I still have a job by Summer. 🙂

  18. It’s probably fine that Chase cancelled your WaMu card. Apparently they’re canceling the free FICO scores.

  19. My credit score is 728, I check it for free at creditkarma.com

  20. Ah…missed it! 🙁
