  1. A far better deal – AMC is about to do away with their silver tickets. They cost $6.50 per ticket, are sold in packages of 50 and never expire. The last time we bought a batch was two years ago. Since then movies have climbed to over $11 a ticket. Think about the savings.

You can buy them through AMC corporate through the end of 2013.

Oh and yes the silvers are not good for special engagements. What is a special engagement? A movie that has been out for less than 2 weeks.

Fandango is only useful when they have a 2 for one special or if you’re buying at AMC on the first showing of the day (tickets are $6-7 and no surchage fees if you’re an AMC Rewards member). Otherwise, Fandango is just way too darn expensive.
