HomeDepot.com has a coupon code JUNEHD that will take $10 off any purchase of $100 or more. Expires 6/23/13. You can have the item shipped or pick up in-store.
Get another 3% or so rebate via a cashback shopping portal like eBates ($5 new customer bonus), Mr. Rebates ($5 bonus), and BigCrumbs.
Stack the discounts even more with the 5% rotating cash back available currently on home improvement stores from the Citi Dividend and new Discover It card. Or, buy a Home Depot gift card at a grocery store using the Blue Cash Preferred® Card from American Express which offers 6% cash back at US supermarkets, or buy a Home Depot gift card for 7% off at a secondary market like Raise.com.
“I’m constantly amazed at how often I go to Home Depot as a homeowner nowadays as compared to never as a renter…”
Why are you amazed….and constantly?
I believe my record number of trips in one day was 8 when I first bought my home.
Even though I rented for many years, I don’t actually remembering many things breaking on me. I never had to call for a busted toilet or anything like that, but in my own house I’ve replaced both mechanisms already, the wax seals on the bottom, a crooked toilet seat. And that’s just the toilets.
So is this only good for purchases online? I need to drop a good bit of money on paint, but would feel uncomfortable doing that online.
Yes, I believe you need to make the purchase online although you can pick up in store. Maybe bring your smartphone along?
If you need to buy something in store there is a $5 off of $50 coupon offer on the home page if you sign up for their emails.
Wow, that seems like an easy way to maximize your savings since it’s difficult to get out of HD for less than $100. Are all of those discounts compatible?
